Ok here goes... i have fiddled some with fuel injection in the past so im not scared off by the concept... Im now in the process of building a cb 750 cafe racer and have decided to upgrade the engine now that it was out anyway
Its a 78 f2 engine with stainless valves and a moderate portjob... the jugs are 73mm bore with 12:1 compression (lowered by head work..) and the cam is a 300 deg web cam, the exhaust is a 4 into 1 and the ignition i have is the "new" optical unit from cycle x...
now im looking at installing a throttlebody/injector from a cb 600 or 900 that can be had cheaply on ebay.. allong with an intank pimp from the same bike (they simply bolt into the tank and is sized for the application) .. also used btw..
I am thinkung about buying the microsquirt and running it speed density / alfa-n blend so it will runn off the map in low load/high vacuum.. and strictly off tps and rpm in high load (the microsquits has this feature btw)
does anyone have any input on this plan... any is apreashiated....
the price looks to be comparable to a set of cr carbs by the way....
