;) Thanks Terry - I'm used to it now!

Got out on the 350 today. It was excellent - running like a dream. It was almost like it was champing at the bit to get away!! Got an indicated 85mph but not the absolute top speed, still overtook loads of cars.. Everytime I ride it it feels different - probably because I don't ride it often.

Went out with my mum on her Honda Hornet 600 - sort of a generation divide - with the riders riding the wrong bikes I suppose. Both bikes are the middleweight honda inline-4  sport/all-rounders of their time.

The 600 Hornet is a nice bike, but it looks pretty sad next to the 350.  Your 350 is a real jewel.

Well we'll see what people say about them in 30 years time..!

Seem to have got a bit off topic here.... so to bring it back on track...

Helmet was fine today except I think me having long thick hair in a pony is pushing it forwards onto my forehead and giving me a headache. Don't like having it loose 'cause it gets all knotty..
I try to tie it low and push it all into one of those "Buff" neck warmers but doesn't seem to help much!!

Anyone got any suggestions? (except cut my hair..!!)

Hey Loony, are you a guy or a chick? I can't help much with the long hair/helmet problem, I've been sporting a "#1" since I was 17, (army) and as that was 28 years ago, so I can't remember how I got around the long hair thing when wearing a helmet? Have you thought about a "#1"? Ha ha, Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Rode with the CL-Max on today (helmet) it is excellent up or down and at $130 a deal.

glad you like the helmet El Huero Loco. It's the same model as mine, the lift up is great- really easy to use with one hand. A very good value buy. My whole family have gone from wearing arai's to the HJC helmets (at half the price you can't complain!), although I am the only one with a lift up one.

Back in my poneytail sporting days I used to just tie it low, just beneath the bottom edge of my helmet, with a scrunchy/elastic. Never worried about knots, they didn't seem to be a problem. Could be mine wasn't long enough to get knotted. Perhaps you could tie it in two or three places...or braid it.

Mike...who used to sport a poneytail...and still could if I wanted  ;D

Matte Black Shoei TZ-R -- only helmet that would fit my 7 7/8, xxl head. Very comfy -- talked the dealer down 25 bucks (I think they wanted me to leave the showroom -- big dorky guy walking around the back with helmet on for 30 min. not good for business!)
