Let me get this straight, Heffay, you're 32 now and you met the lady you're just recently engaged to when you were in college, erm lets see, 10 years ago? So I guess that makes her a long time partner.

I got married to the lady I've been with for 20 years just last june, so don't wait too long. It was February 29th and we were out eating in a local restaurant with a group of friends when she popped the question. I went cold with fear, but kept a straight face and said "Yup, will do, now could you pass me the salt?"

By the way Heffay, did anybody tell you you give the impression of being such a flirt?

Congrats Heff!!! I know it will last since that is exactly how I proposed to my wife! We were lounging in bed at a hotel in Niagra falls after "Mig Welding" - I think is what Ed called it?!?! Anyways, she was hounding me to give her her Christmas present early (a Terry cloth bath robe with the ring in the pocket) and although it wasn't how I planned on "giving it to her" it sure worked out well. We'll have been married 10 years on Sept 19th. Add to the mix 2 kids and a butt load of house debt etc and we are still very much the happy couple!

Oh, boy.  I guess my comment came across the wrong way.  I didn't mean it that way.  It was more like a "Beavis & Butthead" kind of "uh".

Not that there's anything wrong with uh, MIG welding, of course :)

I loves me some Sam Smith's or Moosehead - good luck with your 'sessions'  ;)  (I grew up in SW Michigan, by the way - used to go to Chi-town often for blues shows and to party. Its WAY better than Detroit, that's for sure.  . . . )

Ex of mine used to go with me to Detroit to photograph abandoned buildings and break into old factories.  Hard to find that sort of woman.  She was almost perfect except she'd become homicidally mean when drinking whiskey.

Congrats, Heffay.  Always heard Vegas was romantic.  Personally, I'd have gone for the drive-thru wedding, maybe Elvis giving away the bride.  But that's just me.

Yep, you got that exactly right, Heffay.  That's why I "ain't innerested".  If you are, go for it.  That just ain't my type.

Been with my girl for the better part of two years now, and it's been great. She enjoys riding, both as a passenger, and by herself.
The greatest thing is that she fully supports my mechanical addictions, be it motorcycles, or cars. She hangs out in the garage and likes learning about what makes these motorcycle things go... ;D

Ah, romance, I vaguely remember it...... Just this morning I was having breakfast with my wife and I meant to ask her to pass me the salt, but  instead I got all tongue tied, and said, "You fcuking #$%*, you've ruined my life"! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
