Topic: Will I pass Inspection with these?

Hello friends,

I am going to take my cafe racer for its first inspection today.
I was wondering.. I have these 2 into one pipes on my 1974 CB350F.
It appears the the previous owner took out the baffles.
It sounds great. But will I pass inspection?

Got a picture of the pipes?  Baffles?  Where are you getting it inspected (country and city would be great).

This whole inspection thing is new to me in WI.  Never heard of an inspection requirement and we do not need it in WI.  Not to hijack the thread, but please fill me in.  Is this a inspection for emissions and safety?

In a lot of places, Europe in particular, the requirements for operating a vehicle on public roads are much more stringent than here in the US.  Safety inspections are mandatory and all you equipment will be scrutinized.  Drivers license tests are also more rigorous.

You need to make up some fake baffles or toss a set in to pass... Oklahoma used to do inspections up til 2001.... it was a pain.  we've since done away with them and you can get away with alot more... however officers may inspect your vehicle for proper operation if they suspect its not safe....

ex: burning a crap ton of oil and creating a nice smoke screen.... that could get ya... or WAY too loud.... some cops get annoyed and bust ya on it...

however, as I stated already... if you HAVE to have it inspected... make sure it looks right. if you can tell the baffles are gone then they can tell.

This is the same reason i went looking for my 350F..... aside from the fact ive wanted one for years.... this just pussed me to do it.

Where I'm from, the "inspection" is nothing more than verifying the VIN number on the bike matches the number on the title.
