Thanks for those links! At first I mistook this show for a movie I saw but upon reconsideration I think there must have been many movies with a vaguely similar theme as 'Bronson in the 1960's and 70's.

The flick I saw had a blue HD... not Electraglide In Blue BTW! ;)

There was a 2 hour Pilot Movie which ran on TV in the US (censored) and is still repeated at least once a year usually on TBS which now owns the rights, though now its in public domain. It was released as a theatre release in Europe (Bonnie Bedalia did a topless scene).  It starts with a suicide scene of Martin Sheen jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge (launched his carreer) Then it went into the TV series.

Don't know about the Blue Harley movie. Parks played a motorcycle cop in a made for TV movie "Murders at China Lake" which launched Tom Skerritts career.

I could have the color wrong on the bike (and the make for that matter) but the one scene that comes to mind is that at one point the star's bike goes into the drink and he's forced to rebuild it. I think he had some conflict with a gang.

Up till now I haven't given it a second thought but my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is kicking in and it's buggin' me.

In the pilot movie, he and rider Bonnie stopped in a little town for lunch. A local jumped on his bike for a joyride while JB was in the restaurant. The local drove it into the river. JB helped pull him out while the yocal was saying "man that thing really goes...zoom" or words to that effect. JB punched him and he fell back in the water. Next scene the locals and Bonnie are hoisitng the bike out of the water with a come along, Bonnie's dress all wet and clingy, and then JB had to drain the carb etc to get it going again.

The show was a big hit in the beginning. The Network said it was the worst show on paper they had seen, but once it was filmed it worked beautifully. It came out after Easy Rider and the whole damn Country was lost and looking for something. The Bronson character was what everyone wanted to be, which is free.

Depending on your sources, the TCB pilot aired in March 1969, Easy Rider came out in June 1969, and the TCB series aired September 1969. TCB big difference to Easr Rider was no drugs, no political comment (Bronsons line in the Pilot "I don't want to change the world, I don't want to save it, I just want a little clear for me.)

The Pilot is all over YouTube in 10 parts.

Probably "the Wild Angels" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061189/

But his recent role as the Devil in Ghost Rider was noteworthy IMO.

Yes! His part in Ghost Rider as Satan was a good touch especially when you note Cages ride. Liked the movie myself.

Yeah, The Wild Angels was the one. I have a car/ bike movie directory lying around somewhere; I'll have to keep it by the computer now.
