Hey, I'm Topher
« on: August 07, 2008, 03:34:41 PM »
Hey,

I'm Topher from Austin, Texas.

The story: I've been looking for my first bike for a while. I planned on starting with a lower CC ride to learn on, but I've always wanted a Honda CB with that sleek cafe racer look. When I saw a '74 CB750 on Craigslist for $700, I had to take it. Now I have my work cut out for me because the bike is not in running order and is missing a few pieces here and there. I'll get into that in later posts, I'm sure. Before I started reading, I knew nothing about motorcycles. Now I'm starting to comprehend the basics with the help of this board and the Clymer manual.

Thanks in advance for your patience with my retarded noob-ish questions.

welcome to the group.  Remember..patience is a virtue.......when getting agitated with it....walk away from it for a few minutes.

Greetings from a fellow Austinite.

Goddamn, someone turn on the A/C.  Gonna be 102 today.

Hope to see you on the road soon.  There's a few of us here.  Might even be able to help out with a bit of wrenching.

Welcome, Topher, from another Austinite.  You're not Nevic's friend by chance?

Can't say I am. I kind of got into the whole SOHC4 thing by accident. See you out there as soon as I'm running though!
