anyone here in jacksonville FL?
« on: August 11, 2008, 03:41:36 PM »
my wifes son is there (he's navy) and has a cx500 he needs a little help with some rough running problems. theres really no way for him to get the bike to me so i'm wondering if someone in that area might be willing to give john a hand. he found a shop that would work on it............for 65 bucks an hour. he'd be willing to pay something for the help as well as give a hand, he just doent know bikes very well at all. if there IS someone here that can help please message or email me for johns info.

Fuzzy, check out the choppercharles forums. Lots of good info on there.

What year is the cx? at home I have a soft copy for mine (an 80). I might be able to email it but if memory serves it is a 2 part deal and each half is like 80 megs or something crazy...

oh, john HAS a manual, just kind of floored me that someone getting paid 65 dollars an hour should ask the customer for one. i have DOZENS of manuals from bmw, honda and triumph from when i got certified and worked at a dealer.

Ah I see...and totally agree with you! Even if he was working from the common service manual he would likely be fine...
