ok, I'm going to Portland on Saturday for a week. What should I see besides the usual sights?

I was there in june for a wedding, didn't rain once the whole time we were there. Gorqeous the whole entire time. Even visited the coast for a couple days! We just had fun driving around the mountain roads and finding good places to eat lol.

Never been to skippers, but Bombers does...I like Brown's Brew Pub wings the best though in Troy.

Well, I DO like to tip a few beers every now and again and I'm not too choosy about the surroundings. I've heard Portland is micro brewery nirvana. If my gf wasn't with me I'd probably do nothing but drink beer. Probably drive the Columbia River Highway, see some of the gardens (beer) maybe see Pittock Mansion. I do also like to eat. Any restaurant recommendations are welcome. Any motorcycle rentals? Thanks for the input.

Kellys Olympian for sure.
Mary's Club if you can ditch the GF for the evening... or Maybe take her to Devils Point for some local scenery? :D
Also the Horse Brass and Beullahland  have good beers and divey interiors.

Portland IS microbrew Nirvana. Too bad you just missed the Beer Fest.

Get out to the coast if you can and the scenery down the Columbia river Gorge truly is breathtaking. Weather should be typical Portland, which is to say weird. Hot, cold, rain & sun. From Wednesday on should be nice.
It is a wonderful place. Kinda like a really big college town. We used to take ourselves MUCH less seriously than we do now.

You will like it.

If you like sushi, try Murata.  You like quality booze, try the Teardrop lounge.  Take the girlfriend to the japanese gardens, if you're into those things.  Plenty of good browsing for books at Powell's (pretty large motorcycle section too).

Man, I'm slipping! How could I forget Powells or the Japanese Gardens! Crap, I totally spaced Saturday Market, too!

Ohh, bad Pope, bad!
