Hello from New York
« on: July 22, 2008, 07:43:38 PM »
I just got my 76 CB550F last month. It was in pretty good shape when I got it, but I've had to  tune it all up and replace some parts, notably rebuilding the carbs. Its now in good enough shape that I'll be riding it back up to Maine(where I call home) this week.

I just wanted to thank all you guys for the advice you didn't know you gave me. I wouldn't have this thing running well (or maybe at all) without it. (And I'm sure I'll need more help someday!)

Welcome from upstate, outside of Binghamton! Congrats on getting your bike in shape for a good trip. I'm trying to do the same with mine before riding season is out.

I am about 20 mins from the Bear Mt bridge. I like riding along Rt9 as far as Fishkill, I fill the bikes tank and empty mine at a Hess Mart, then I sorta work my way over to 301 hang out in Coldspring for a bit, Then I come back up the Goat Trail leading to the Bridge. Makes for a varied ride.

I'm down where 95 meets 80.  3 miles from GWB on the Jersey side.  I often take a nice leisurely ride up the PIP to Bear Mountain and thereabouts.
