76-550 + 77 550 interchangeability
« on: September 05, 2005, 04:06:42 PM »
I have a 77 550 and I have aline on a 76 550F parts bike. My question is if I buy the parts bike are the engine parts compatible?
For instance can I port the head on the 76 550F head and then in the winter do a top end job and slap it on the 77 550K?
Thanks gang, this forum has been indispensible.

The motors are all the same.  its little things, like seats and tanks that present the issues.
