easy way to fix my leaking front forks

can i swap the forks from a 1973 cb550 parts bike onto my 1981 cb650

if they are the same diameter, yes and it looks as if they are

personally I'd just renew the 650 seals

so....if the stamp on the tag with the serial number reads 12/73 i think that would mean that it was built in december of 73...now would that make it a 1974 model?

omg....not gonna work....cant bolt up my caliper....lol...o well just found seal kits....10 bux a peice.....ill give that a try.....any pointers from anyone my manual wont be here for a week...or can anyone gimme a link to a thread that'll help me....im not sure if this should be posted here

Yes, the project shop section would seem really to be for those who have a bike build to showoff and discuss.   Otherwise having a separate section is pointless.  Judging by the posts in this forum, this is frequently misunderstood. Read the first post (highlighted) in this section! . . .If you search from the "Tech Forums" page it will search all the forum sections, giving you the widest search.
