Topic: Help with Exhaust 1978 cb550K

Just got pulled over from the police for having a loud exhaust. Got a 30 day order to install a "proper exhaust" Now I have an excuse for the wife to spend some money on some pipes. 

Being a Newbie, I just thought I'd ask around to what set up I should get.

I really like the look of a 4-2 system but can't seem to find any online that would fit my bike.  My second choice is the Mac 4-1 or the Marshall Deeptone 4-1. 

Does anyone know if this 4-2 will fit my bike?

Any input, cost effective solutions or set up suggestions from anyone would be great.

Just tell the cop to suck your left nut and get some ear plugs.

find a original ststem even if rusty and the mufflers have holes.
grind off the muffler welds.
go to dennis kirk, buy some emgo dunstall replicas $46 each.
mount in place of original mufflers.
you will be able to mount direct with the same brackets.
