First day of school
« on: August 17, 2008, 06:24:10 PM »
Hi everyone:

A hearty hello from the New York's Hudson Valley region.  I'm a recent college grad tooling around a bit before more school and I really like CBs.  About a year and a half ago I got bit and had to have a bike.  I bought a 1973 CB350F for $350, and put another $300 or so into fixing it up.  It emerged from a bare minimum of maintenance and care like a stallion and now I just can't ride it down.  I have no car and intend to go on riding it right through the winter.

Naturally after a year I wanted something I could run down the highway a bit faster, so I picked up a 1975 CB750K and started making a cafe racer project out of it.  I have a couple of galleries documenting this rewarding if at times frustrating process:

Anyway, how's it going.

I couldn't open your album.

Facebook is good for two things:  creeping and targeting you with ads.  I should have just made a blog; I still might when the project is over.

The 350 is the best damn thing in the world, isn't it?  Not great for putting your girlfriend on the back, though.  I do not like having my junk squished up against the gas tank.

Welcome.

350's are great. I love mine.

Well ok...until you get a 400....but I still love mine even with a 400

I've got a 750K as well but I still really love the 350.  It has a special place in my heart.

Haven't ridden a 400 or a 550 but would like to.
