Who's bike is this?
« on: August 17, 2008, 08:16:48 PM »
I had a few questions about the bike if anyone knows the bike or owner.

Tank, and shocks were my biggest questions.

Whadda beastie :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Shocks look like the ones that come stock on ZRX1100/1200 Kawasakis (KYB's?).  They show up on Ebay pretty regularly for $200-300.  They are an "eye to eye" configuration though.

Oh come on now, I couldn't have stumped everyone that has viewed this thread on what kind of tank it is. My first guess was a 79 K tank but can't tell.

My guess is it is a one off custom.  I vaguely remember this bike, or one like it, on eBay a few years ago.  Check out the front fender and side covers, this guy is doing more than mixing and matching from the scrap pile and painting it to match.

Digging through my collection of what the girlfriend likes to refer to as "motorcycle porn" (note to self: do something nice for the girl soon-like stop buying parts and take her out) I remember this bike. Seems like the guy was out of the southwest, Las Vegas I think and I scooped all the pics up when it was on Craigslist. 77 - 78 CB750 and described as having every piece of metal on it personally massaged or fabricated. The tank especially. Hope that helps.
