How do I insert a picture

I'm feeling a bit ignorant here.

I can't figure out how to post a picture.  When I click the insert image button it simply puts[img] [img] then doesn't seem to let me do anything to add the picture.

What do I do?

One of the easy ways is to get a account at a photo hosting website such as photobucket and its free. Once you have uploaded there it will give you a few sets of codes and you just copy paste one of them here.

The [img] delimiters are used for remote links such as suggested, on Photobucket for example. These delimiters tell the software to treat the link provided as an image. If you want to upload directly from your PC check this FAQ for how-to.
