I wish I could remember. Hated it that much I never bothered looking. Funny thing is, the guy that bought it didn't come to pick it up for about 3 months and I was just about to chuck it in the amenity tip when he called again! Got some more pics of it that I used to advertise it on evil bay if you want.

It came with specially made mounting frame and clamps etc.

This fairing is a Mitchenall Bros. Avonaire "Standard"

I bought this from Speed Moto , no probs , easy on and off

http://www.speedmotoco.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=81&products_id=1720
Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !

I just bought a 750 K5 and it has an old Vetter Windjammer III fairing on it.  The fairing is just too cheesy for me and will probably be the first thing to go.  I'll wait until I have the bike in my possession before I make a final decision on the fairings fate.  I really like the look of the 1/4 fairings though.

This guy has a bunch of old school stuff:

Nice work, to be sure, but the rearward facing NACA duct?  i'm going to have to agree to disagree.

hymodyne (SOHC4 member) made this awesome full fairing by matching up a vintage top to hand laid fiberglass and modern lowers.  Lots of skilled work there, but this is a great example of a full fairing on a 550

Probably designed to suck the hot air out of the engine area.

would be better suited if it was more rearward on the motorcycle

like so:

^ one that i wish i'd never sold  :'(

but, yes... i think motorcycles tend to "push" into the wind.  or at least, they look as if they do... i think uncrash's "reverse" duct mimics that feel.

think powerful muscle car.

Not a fairing, but how about we call it a flyscreen, a modded Buell XB9 item.

I am starting to really like that angled fin edge polish.  That is the second one I have seen so far.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

This may or may not be an appropriate thread but since it has already gone this way... I've had an original NOS Rickman full fairing for a stock CB750 chassis stored for years, and I'm going to put up it up on eGay next week. If someone wants it before it goes on the block, gimme a PM shout.  RR
