Topic: gas tank emblems

I got some honda tank emblems that are in really good shape but they are missing the two posts that insert into the tank. I live in Arizona  "HEAT" what sugestions do you have to adhering these to the gas tank?

Go to a professional auto body paint store and buy some of their double stick tape.  It's a much higher quality than the stuff sold at the auto parts stores.  Stick it to the back side of the emblems, trim the excess off with a razor blade and then apply the emblems to the tank.

I second the double sided tape.  All the automotive companies use this stuff.  I've stuck the emblems on my bike with it several years ago and no problems.

yes sir 3M vhb tape, get the clear kind that has red mask covering the sticky. Its like .063(1mm) thick and its what used for automotive trim applications, can't remember the exact model type right now if I can find some out in the shop before I go home today I will post a pic of it, there is also a high temperature type that is used on engine valve covers and stuff like that, ask someone at the autoparts store and they should be able to help. If they don't know what your talking about steer away from them
