Any Negatives to Lowering the Backend
« on: September 08, 2005, 09:47:26 PM »
I was interested in lowering the backend of my stock CB750 K1.  Does anyone know of any things that can go wrong when a CB is lowered?  Is it a reliable modification?  I know that JC Whitney has a kit, but is there some kits that anyone has had experience with that worked well & where to find?  Thanks.

I have personally never done this, however I'm going to give you my 2 cents anyway. If you are going to lower the back end I would suggest you do the same to the front end(lower the front by raising the forks in the triple clamps)otherwise I believe it will handle like a buick station wagon with 1 flat tire.If you lower the front I believe it should handle better than stock(but don't quote me") ground clearance may become an issue though.I know on my 78 550 when cornering hard it scrapes the pipe.and thats at stock height.good luck, Fergie.
