Nice, can't wait to see how they turn out.

Or am I just twisted?

Perhaps, but you say that like it's a problem.   ;D

The tanks are on the tail...... :D

Yeah that would throw off the CG just a tad........

Anyways...this is why you always completely strip a tank before you paint it.....

Nice tanks,  keep us posted once for sale... ;)  If you are open for sales.

Also dig the plane,  my first ride working the throttle stick was in a 1941 Waco UPF -7 with the two tone blue and yellow get up.  got the fly bug now and working getting a plane by 45ish.  God/Wifie willing.  ;D  - love the motors on them...just a little hard breakin down in the air, it's not like pulling over and going to work on it.  ;D

keep up the good work!

Gas weld a welding rod in the dent and then what?
What's your technique?

What's your technique?

TIG.

I'd gas weld it but then you have serious distortion issues from the heat.

Then its the slide hammer...maybe a little massage from a shrinking hammer.

I have an aversion to bondo...but I'm a realist in that a wee bit of plastic filler generally has to be used.

Leaks Fixed....

Ready for some body work and Primer....

Rule of thumb is...when you get done...ya shouldn't be able to find the filler with a magnet.

see, i tried this technique once and when i started to pull with the slide hammer it just started to cone where the filler rod attached.

then insted of a slide hammer, i just tried pulling it by force but the gauge was too thick to budge it. sometimes the rod would give at the weld before i could pull it.

i try to stay away from bondo as much as possible too but can't help those itty bitty dents.

Kind of a dusty one.  How do you keep that dust on it when it flies?

It doesn't...it belonged to one of my good friends.....the one that had an affinity for crashing triumphs.

He passed away recently...so its kinda in limbo.
