I haven't as I have an 82 cb650 that has a different frame from earlier years. Mine has the angled seat that would make it somewhat harder w/o putting more effort vs. just slapping on a cafe seat that requires a flat section through the seat area.

This guy has done some cool looking cafe conversions, and one of them is an 80 cb650...

1980 oh sorry mines too old at 79 ha ha.
Restore the bike, there are too many people chopping up perfectly good 650's instead of restoring them.
I don't mind so much if the project bike starts out as a basket case, then any way it can be back on the road is acceptable (to me) but some seem to get a beautiful classic 30 year old honey and cut it up into something bizzar!
I'm not against bobbers and choppers, am having a go at doing a chopper myself shortly but just leave the classic bikes in one piece please. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
