Topic: What's a Honda dealer's typical markup on parts?

I'm thinking of trying to drive a hard bargain on an original exhaust for my 750 k0 and was wondering about what the dealers cost would be so I could try to negotiate from there. Is there a typical percentage the mark everything up?

If you have been dealing with the same dealer for years and have built up a good relationship you can expect a 20 - 30% discount from list.

The relationship I have with my dealer goes back 20+ years. I always remember them during the holiday season, dropping by and bringing goodies to share with all including the service guys.

My dealer will match any eBay price, Honda Direct, Bike Barn, etc.  I do not mind the match as I then do not pay any shipping.  I got my HM300's for my KO for $1,200 in 2007.  See if he can do at least that for you.  My savings are around 15-20%.  And I do the same as Tom and bring food gifts at Christmas and throught the year.  I just dropped off a huge bag of popcorn to the guys.  They will kill for venison sausage!!!
