super nice looking place and am sure you will be glad to have a shop .   5 acres can be a handful .   i have 2 and it keeps me busy just keeping up on weeds !

Thanks. Yes, the property will be lots of work, but my girlfriend is the gardener and is really excited to tackle it all. We are currently shopping for a good used garden tractor, and by good I mean expensive. She wants 4WD and power steering. Her budget would pay for a nice K4-5 without the 341's. LOL. Lawn wise the property has a lot of woods and ravines where you don't need to cut. Using the county GIS to map it I estimate less than an actual acre of lawn that will need cutting.

On a small tractor 4WD is very important, especially if it has a loader. As my tractor mechanic buddy says "Kubota's are homeowner specials". He sold me my 76' Yanmar YM 1300D 23 years ago after he put a loader on it. It even came with a factory tiller that mounts directly to the back of the tractor and uses the 3pt to raise and lower. The older small models don't have power steering.
Smaller John Deere, Ford New Holland, newer small Yanmars and a couple of other brands are good products.
I use mine all the time. Today I loaded two large diesel motorhome tires into the truck with ease.

The driveway is long and pretty steep, which is why she wants 4wd. Since I can't be there full-time and she will probably be a permanent resident by the time winter hits, we need something she can plow with and she doesn't want to worry about sliding down the drive into the road.

There is a dealer in Saugatuck that has a nice used Kubota in the price range she is looking at. First we need to close, which we hope to do next week, then in short order will come a bed, a fence for the dogs, a tractor, and a couch. Fortunately we have lots of extra dishes and cooking equipment from our 2 apartments and our camper plus a spare TV from my place, so the bed and couch are the only furniture we need to buy right away.

Saugatuck is a hot spot with the Boys, so I'm not surprised you got some looks. A fraternity brother of mine and his partner have a place there. It's a very pretty town.

My guess is 22'x16.   Lets see the inside Bud!

There's only one actual motorcycle in there, one basket case and a motorcycle lift.  The rest is filled with wood working tools.

I did a motor oil and rear differential oil change to get the Concours ready for road tripping with Jonesy this summer. After missing out on all of last year I can't leave soon enough. The first good trip was will be to Missoula Montana for dinner at the Cattleman's in early June. My little brother and my machinest are coming with us. I never get tired of riding US 12 between Lewiston and Missoula. 8)

No bike in the shop for the first time in a while. Going to clean and organize tomorrow and the day after then pick up a Evo sporty to get going for a guy.
After this the CB500/550 goes back on or I go grab my Intruder 1400 and get it ready to sell.

Cliff…… Nice problem to have! The F looks lovely! When I first bought my K8, I really wanted one of those later ones to match. Never found a good one.

When I built a garage, attached to our house, I used left over material for this bench down one side. It’s only 2’ wide, but 24’ long. Takes up very little space (note the angled supports down to a handy anchor plank on top of the foundation) but really great for projects outside my main shop.

The shelves up top support good lighting and my favourite “no cost” bins. Windshield washer fluid bottles with one side cut out. Lately I’ve been scrounging empty DEF containers from my local gas station, for super sized bins!

This one found me via an email from a friend. Parked for over 20 years in a dry shed but the bike still had a lot of surface rust on it. 0000 steel wool, Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and Rust Remover and a bucket of elbow grease took cate of that. Paint is original.

Nice work…. It looks spectacularly original and spotless.
