Cleaned off and ready for some carb rebuilds.

I used recycled solid core doors for bench tops. They work great and are strong enough to pound on. I also have one bench top made from a stainless steel commercial kitchen shelf with plywood backing for clean work.

I thought about getting some solid core doors, would have needed 3, the ones I saw on market place were $60/ea.
I have $80 into this. It'll work for me at this point. Maybe later on.

John, check prices on them at end of season, often the space they take and carry stock that doesn't sell in warmer months isn't worth the cost to stores so they clearance price them. Should give you some time, couple months, to research them

My son gave me two cabinets for all my hardware and small parts….. They fit so well in one of my benches I just couldn’t toss them.

I wonder if I will live long enough to sort through all my junk and fill them?

Finally scrounged enough 3 drawer filing cabinets off marketplace to put my plan into action
Got sick of all my grinding, drilling etc stuff on one tiny table so I got 4 filing cabinets and a melamine top, screwed the lot together and moved all the angry tools onto it and bolted them down ( except the mini grinder, get to that later in the week ) , I'll make some sort of rack for all the angle grinders on the wall and I need to move the power boards over there too .
Bonus is I now have 12 xl drawers to put more stuff in, or to be more accurate, spread some stuff out and get it out of postal tubs and cardboard boxes.
The last picture is how it was this morning, top one is the nearly finished product
i blame Terry

There's a 2x4 spreader under the blue tray to stiffen the uprights.

Got it….. I have a spare carb plate and a friend that welds aluminum. Might find some scraps and make a “light weight” version?

There are some very well organized shops on here. Mine is not one of them. Half of my shop is a work space, the other is for storage. I had to get rid of some stuff (junk) so I would have room for my bikes. There's still a lot of stuff (junk) that I need to haul off and some organizing that I should do. It still fits my needs and I have a place for my retirement projects.

I have thought about that. Some of it just needs to be thrown away. I would like to have a smaller  shed built and use it for storage. Then I could put another car, more motorcycles or whatever on the other side.
