Shop update:
Due to hurricane Sandy, as of last night was threatening the northeast, I was impelled to bring the machines that I have rebuilt since the last hurricane, Irene to higher ground.
Namely moving the machines from the theater, which has enough space to hide extra bikes the in corners and created space in my home shop to work on other projects , back to my higher ground home shop. I 'm not loosing another machine to flood waters.
It took all day to move the lot. And quite frankly, although I've joked about it from time to time, I'm  almost worried that I may be a hoarder. I haven't seen them all in one room before. This is what it looks like today.

Al the weather stations had computer models that mimic Irene.
When I said some days are better than others, I'm not sure which day it is.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.
550 Snowbike -Somebody had to do it.

Great pics guys, and good to see that for most of us, "Shop" is short for "Workshop" and actual work is conducted therein. Not sure about Sammy's "shop" though, I've spent time in bigger cells................. Is there enough squares for a game of checkers? Here's a pic of my mess from last weekend. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

My winter workshop that I share with my dad. Not a lick of space to move, Most of the assembly and frame work is done in the outer room and this is storage and electrical.

It's almost twice as old as me, I don't know how the hell it works!

Looking good Sammy, what sort of bike bench are you buying? I've just got an Ebay cheapie, it isn't as stable as a nice professional model, but it works OK. The big test will be when I put the Goldwing on it this weekend! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Terry, mine is just a home made wooden bike bench, quite sturdy, measuring 6ft x 2ft with about 2 1/2ft clearance around it.
As Gregg mentioned the CB92 tank on the top shelf, all my bikes are small twins and can easily be lifted onto the bench, the big problem is getting them up the flight of stairs ::) ::) ::) ::) (1st floor flat) but I'm working on it. ;)

Gregg, we do have quakes in the UK but big ones (by our standards) around 5.6 only occur around 100 years.
4.7 quakes around every 10 years and 3.7 on a yearly basis.
One area has very minor ones seveal times a day. ;D ;D ;D ;D
I won't loose any sleep over it. ;D ;D ;D ;D
