I've got some serious re-organizing to do.

Here's something that showed up on a deal.  It has a stand and table fabricated out of junk.  I think it's been put back to stock handheld bandsaw now, but it was really neat in a dangerous kind of way. I wanted to take a little snippit of it running but I don't see that I did.  The speed is variable by using the wedge shaped piece of plywood (not pictured) that you push  into  the trigger slot until the desired speed is achieved.

Edit:

Oh there's the wedge of plywood in the second picture hanging on the wire.

Been reading through this topic getting ideas for my little work space. It's a little less cluttered right now because I got the 650 frame outta there...oh and mounted the "speaker system" on the wall.

A community shop opened in Baltimore last year called Lowside Garage. There's also a retail storefront, 515 Moto, that's a full service shop - fabrication, paint, mechanical, etc. Great place and great guys. This is my space there.

With 7 bikes in my shop, and enough bits to build several more, there's no room to do any work, so all my wrenching gets done in the driveway........... ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

BJ that's a great deal that place has going on.   You can work on your stuff in the midst of other gearheads, and spare hands are always there if you need some help.  I was stationed in San Diego while I was in the military and we had an auto hobby shop on base that let us do that.  We couldn't rent spaces out per se, but very similar.

How do you secure your stuff when you're not there?

The place is pretty laid back. They have a list of 10 rules. The first one is "Don't Be A Dick"! The facility is really secure though, gates, locks, surveillance cameras, etc. Plus, everyone knows everyone. I've been there since January 2014 and have never heard of anything going missing. Maybe I"m just too trusting but I think it's pretty unusual to run into an a-hole who likes working on bikes.

That's a great garage mate, reminds me of the old WW2 huts I see on old army bases here. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Part of the garage after I "Restored" it this past Winter. It was a complete sheet hole with my Stepson running a race car out of it. No organization, just garbage everywhere. Their idea of cleaning up  was to sweep everything into one oily pile of Speed Dry and leave it there. During the beginning clean up stage my Wife saw me throwing out a half empty bag of Speedy Dry and thought I should save it as that was what the floor was usually made of. "This shop won't need any Speedy Dry" was my reply. She now has her own section with stuff for her garden and loves the new look. It is still a job to make the boys understand that this is a, "No Dump" zone. You got something coming in here, put it where it belongs.

I like poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking at dead things with a stick.
