Looking to read this and having a hard time finding it.

You  mean Sanders, Sol. Honda: The Man and His Machine. Boston: Little, Brown, 1975.?

A quick search leads me to think it is out of print.  Try the places that specialize in business biographies.  Also, TVAG on this forum is a Reference Research Librarian.  He might know how to find such a book.

In this case, Soichiro would have told you just two words:

1: eBay
2: Patience

I'm just tracking a watch that ends in 6 days or so. I have been looking for it on eBay for just...... six years!!!!!!

Mine is autographed too..... but I didn't -neither would I- pay $450 for it. Even not-autographed copies are going for $90. Seriously, the book is worth reading, but there is nothing inside that makes it that expensive.

2, what kind of watch is it

Nothing special, a cheap, japanese citizen watch. But it is special to me. It is the same one that the very first watch I ever had. Back in the 80's watches didn't come as cheap as today, and my dad bought it to me for Christmas, when I didn't expect it.

If you are patient, sooner or later what you are looking for will appear. Obviously, the watch is not mine yet and I hope nothing wrong will happen, but I'm confident that I will win the auction, because I don't think anybody will be willing to bid as much as I do after all these years of waiting.....

And that from a guy who lives in "Reading".....  ;D

Sorry for the cheap joke. I have many books. Not that I've read all of them, but I'm working on it....

I bought this 2 weeks back and just finished reading it today. It is worth finding and reading. You have to read to appreciate how close Honda came to failing 6-7 times. It's astonishing how determined he was to succeed. I am a Honda fan - both the man and his machines.

I got a copy saturday, and I am already 200 pages into it. Great book, lots of insight and inspiration in there.
