my oldest son and i caused a minor accident this evening
« on: August 24, 2008, 05:28:41 PM »
my oldest siamese and i were walking up the sidewalk on forest drive (he walks on a leash like a little dog) when a guy driving an escalade did a double take (like it's a strange sight seeing a huge bald, tattoed guy walking a cat on a leash. as he was staring at us he drove himself right into the back of a bus. fortuneatly nobody was hurt, the escalade was pretty trashed though.

What a hoot. Did you make sure that he filled out the accident form correctly? ;-)

Glad there were in injuries... but that's a knee slapper!

BTW: an early 'happy birthday' to ya and to all who have the phenomenally good taste to share my birth date.  ;)

There may be something wrong with my world,  but Fuz, you don't look that abnormal  ;D

Now, maybe to someone in an Escalade you do....  The image of a guy gawking at you enough to crash into a bus just cracks me up!!!

Dude, he was walking a cat on a leash!  Who has ever seen that?  I never have.  Cats hate leashes at a general rule. You Fuzzy have the exception that proves it.

You weren't wearing a suspender belt and fishnets were you Fuzzy? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Fuzzy-

We have a saimese that looks just like yours. My wife frequently jokes about taking him for a walk (although he has gotten a bit hefty for his cat harness), so I read her your post. We both about died laughing!

Here's my cat peeking over my shoulder while on SOHC4...

Wouldn't the next level be to put goggles on a cat and put him in a sidecar? Now, that would stop traffic.

Yeah fuzzy, you don't look that weird. Not even walking a cat on a leash would catch my attention away from the road.

But put a hot chick with a mini-skirt and a thong protruding and I'm all eyes!!!!!   ;D  You sure there wasn't hot chicks around you?

NH has a great Scot fest at Loon Mt. in September. I can't wait until the IRN-BRU and haggis!

Back on topic, did you start walking your cat on a leash very young? I have a big cat and she could use the exercise but she's never been on one. I think I'd lack the moxie to walk her in the daylight though!

Now Fuzzy!

You were holding out on crucial information...

Big balding tatooed guy IN A KILT walking a kitty!

--- causing traffic accidents ---

Now that does make sense to me.

If I were you, I would be tempted to do it every day!  LOL!

Ha ha, that's unbelievable mate, I've got a big black bludger of a cat called "Chopper", (named after an infamous Aussie criminal) I brought him back from near death (he had cat flu and ringworm when I got him and was about to be put down that day) so even though all the cats are my wife's, he and I have a special relationship.

He is twice as big as our other cats and bullies them mercilessly, I've seen him chase a small dog away from our place, and he wacked an old Italian guy walking past our house last summer. I guess Chopper decided that he was loitering, and wanted to move him on, but it was hilarious watching the old guy jump, then scream a tirade of abuse over his shoulder at my cat while he shuffled away...........  ;D

when hamish was little (6 weeks old when it started) he beat the hell out of the roomates rottie, stole it's food and milk bones, the roomate moved out because of hamish (useful little guy he was) and he terrorized my horses as well. i walked out my back door and in 20 yards was at the barn, just a 3 stall shedrow barn i built. hamish would sit on the bottom rail of my 17.3hh thoroughbred/percheron cross and swat at her muzzle when she went down for her hay. this little tiny ball of brown and tan fluff that weighed less than a pount at that point had my giant 1500 pound mare terrorized, she'd cower and shake in the corner of her stall when she saw him. his other trick was when i'd turn the horses out in the morning (or afternoon during the summer months, night turnout) hamish would run up behind sky and jump up onto her tail and hook on with his claws, well he ears would pin back and she'd flick her tail real hard and hamish would go tumbling ass over teakettle, and he'd do it over and over again as long as i had the mare on a lead rope.

Man, you "forgot" to mention the best part of the story. If I see a man like you wearing a kilt, I would turn my head regardless of whether he is walking a cat, a dog or a hen.
