Moving to CHI
« on: August 24, 2008, 10:52:16 PM »
After three sweat-soaked years in Austin, I am returning to my native Midwest and to my former residence in Chicago.  I would like to thank Texas for giving me sweat glands big enough to put a finger through, and for giving me the intestinal fortitude to continually tolerate Lone Star.  Time to move back to the big-boy city.

I'll be in the Wicker Park area (yeah, yeah, I know) in about 10 days, so if you see a mutt 750 with a naked, rusty tank and flat black side covers, that's prolly me.  I do pretty much all of my own wrenching and love nothing more than swapping tales of hapless incompetence and accidental brilliance.  If any of youse Chicagoans know of fun events, meets or just want to take over someone's parking lot with a few old CB's, let me know.

For an added bonus, I will be arriving just in time for football season.  As a rule, no one is better than Bears fans themselves at arguing the various weaknesses and futility of their team.  If anyone needs an arrogant Packers fan to aid in this discussion, I am available.  Reasonable rates.  Enquire within.

Looking forward to being back in blessed Midwest.

To be fair, "helpless" might turn out to be an accurate way of describing the Packers this season.  If only NFL rules permitted the construction of a roll-cage or portable fence around the quarterback.  I have a feeling Rodgers is going to spend alot of time holding a clipboard this season.
