Do you Remember a shop called Ricky Racer ??
« on: August 27, 2008, 10:14:09 PM »
Heard this today from a customer that is real big into Laverdas.

He told me he had bought a big pile in Boise, mostly Laverda stuff.. 3 1/2 Tons !! :o

So I asked how it ended up in Boise, he said it had come from a large dealer in California.. I asked if it was Ricky Racer, he said yes.

So I asked, what happened to him, did he pass on?? He said yeah..Lathe accident.. piece came out at speed and got him right in the head.. :o

After that I went back in the shop, maybe a bit more respect for my lathes..

Anyone else hear about this, I think a few years ago..

While the unicorn whispers "...for adult toys."
