1978 CB750f3 SS camshaft identification
« on: August 27, 2008, 08:02:36 AM »
I have a 78 750SS, and am in the process of rebuilding the top end due to camshaft and valve guide failure. I purchased new valve guides and valves from Dynoman and had the machine work done locally. I also bought a camshaft and rocker assembly from a supposed low mile f3. The cam is pristine as well as the other parts I purchased. I want to be certain that the camshaft is in fact the same as the one that failed in my engine. Are there any markings that would tell me for sure it is a f3 cam? The old one is pretty wiped out, so comparing the two with a mic doesn't really make me comfortable with the readings. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Roy
