Yeah, everything on the frame came off a bobber project that I purchased. The PO of the bobber had pretty well mangled the frame, so I tranferred everything over to an extra CM400T frame that I had. Only problem w/ the hand controls is that I can't for the life of me figure out how the brake lever mounts to the MC, it just doesn't fit right  >:(

What is the issue with the brake lever?  Too loose, too tight?  Is it the correct lever?  Take some pics of the level in the MC so that we can lend a hand.

Sorry it took so long, camera was being screwy and I ended up having to use my phone camera  :P. So here's the deal: The lever looks like it should be the correct one. The problem is that when I place the lever in the MC I can't 1. get the pivot pin in to attach it and 2. the lever doesn't seem to be actuating the MC at all

There's a small nub coming off the bottom of the handle that prevents the handle from really going anywhere

I've run out of ideas, short of taking the whole damn thing up to the HD dealership and having them show me. Also can't find any exploded view diagrams/instillation instructions for any of the HD MCs anywhere. Thoughts?

Here's some pics of the MC on my Sportster for comparison of how it fits in..  I do not see a nub like on yours.

Edit: upon closer look at yours, it looks like your lever is like mine, but your MC is not.  Maybe you have 2 different years and the design was changed along the way.
