Topic: Dual front disc shopping list

So I've read the how to do it, but still wondering what exact parts will swap over So what years discs, caliper, caliper brackets will work on my 78 CB750K? I'm assuming that it must be from a K and not and F correct?

my '78F discs are 5 bolt, the '78 K's are 6.

that said, i do have a single disc and caliper arm/bolts in nice shape from my '78 parts bike, listed in the "for sale" section.  no caliper tho, bleed screw was extremely FUBAR'd so i tossed it.

With a '78 750K, your caliper and brackets will interchange with '77&'78 Ks and '75 &'76 Fs.  The earlier Ks had larger calipers and the later Fs have completely different calipers and rotors.  While your at it, I would turn your calipers around so that they face the engine to reduce front end vibration and generally improve braking.  I would also reccomend using a 5/8" piston master cylinder (like off a '78F or a GL1000) and braided stainless lines.  It works better and has better feel.

OK so being I'm going with a 77/78 K caliper mount must I stick with a 77/78 caliper or could I also use a 75-76F caliper too?

Yep my plans are to use a new 14mm bore master cylinder with braided lines.

Yeah, to turn the calipers toward the engine you need to swap the tubes.  For your fender to face the rightway you need to grind out the rivets and turn it around on its mount.  I eliminated the adjustment screws at the time I did it; I never noticed a benefit from them anyway.  If you have anymore questions just ask.

What about the caliper with the 78 K mount can I still use a 75-76F caliper?
