Brake shoes and other woes.
« on: August 29, 2008, 08:41:23 AM »
1977 CB550F.

Are the brake shoes for the rear wheel supposed to just slide on those stand offs? Should I have to file the insides down or anything prior to installation? Any grease here would be a bad idea right? They wont go on. Maybe I'll have to go get get a big C clamp or something.

Received the new brake lines I decided to order from HEL..waited two weeks..stayed up to 2am in the garage... brake line from the MC is about 6cm too short.

New main switch from EMCO...key doesn't fit the seat lock.

Key wont fit the seat lock. Best to just find the old ignition and get the numbers and get a new key online.

The shoes on the 750s just slide on and off. You have to expand the shoes a bit but it is nothing hard. you should lube the pivot joints but that is all. make sure none gets on the shoes.
