This is an idea I have been thinking about for a while and finally got around to doing it. My 72 750 has a little tank rust. I have tried inline filters but like others do not like how they flow. I bought a new petcock screen because upon examination of my old one with a loop showed some small holes not easy to see by eye. I am still getting some small pieces of junk in my float bowls. I had an idea of using the inside of an inline sintered metal filter and modifying it to work internally in my petcock bowl. The gas enters the petcock bowl from the center hole. I cut open and fit a sintered metal filter and epoxied it to the screen. I added a small spring to hold the whole unit tight when hitting a bump. I do not know how to get my camera to take good close photos. The sintered metal filter is only about 1/8" thick and will funnel crap to the bottom. It should be easy to clean. I do plan to do the toilet bowl clean out of the tank this winter. Looking for feedback as so many of the posts are about overflowing carbs or clogged slow jets. Dan
