I finally got my 76 cb550 to run!!!!! Got replacement o-ring and gasket kits from honda for my carbs and put in the o-rings that I needed on the drains. <essed up two putting them back together but thought I would give it a tyr anyway. After realizing that my bike was in gear when trying to start with the starter I got into to neutral and hooked the battery back up and it started wuith the first kick. It would on;y run on full choke, but I got it to go!!! Next have to get the carbs slides a little looser as they are still sticky, but I am on my way to getting it running for next spring.
