Thanks to this post by TwoTired -----> http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=17711.msg184209#msg184209 a year and a half ago detailing a methodical approach to testing electronic ignitions and coils, I was able to determine why I lost spark in #1 and #4 on my 750 riding home last week.

Turns out the 30 year old Martek 440 stopped firing 1 and 4 on me.  This post by TT allowed me to quickly determine that my coils weren't the problem and that the wiring all the way to the Martek would create spark in 1 and 4 plugs.  I replaced the Martek with a used set of points, dressed them up, set the static and advanced timing, and away I go.

Thanks TT!

Glad I could be of help!

Congratulations to you for your diagnostic and troubleshooting prowess.  As well as your expert use of the site's search function.  Which, seemingly, only select others have mastered!  ;D

Cheers,  ;D ;D ;D
