bought a project bike this morning
« on: August 23, 2008, 10:15:54 AM »
when i was out in BFE to pick up parts for my saturn, the guy (who also has a v-12 jag in a chevy 1/4 ton) had an 86 gpz1100 for 400 bucks, it starts and runs fair (carbs are all gummed up, i checked) it was wrecked the same day he put a new head and cams  on it. the frame appears straight, the tank is all banged up as well as most of the plastics. it has a title and i paid 400 for it. as soon as i can get it home pics will be supplied. i was going to use that money for an old, non operational bridgeport mill but this will be better in the long run i decided.

Sounds cool. Can't wait for the pics  8)

Jag V-12 in a chev pickup  :o I saw a chev with a 6V-71 detroit diesel in it once but a v-12 would be pretty slick.

So fuzzy, got any other prospects? If not, guess you just have to keep an eye out for another one, huh? Too bad about the other one, but like alltherighpills said, at least you found out before you hauled it home though. Good Luck on finding a decent prospect for a "Project Bike". ;)
