Out on the thumper--extremely loud.
Noise and stares required that I cut it short.
Before I could head back, my right side foot peg bent almost
all the way down---no tools--difficult riding position with
nowhere to put my foot---tried to rest it up on the exhaust--bad idea.





Rectangular plate on swingarm has rendered this machine a hardtail.

What's the purpose of that? I always thought people wanted "rigid" for the looks of it. You are having looks of softail and behaviour of hardtail, worst of both worlds.


BTW, that bike is the closest thing to the "rat" looks that I know. The "wire actuated" brake switch is a killer.....

Raul--Suspension would have been preferable,
but the swingarm is off a Kawa H2 and doesn't fit quite right.
Swingarm had a tendancy to "articulate" as I went down the road.
So my solution was to lock it up--problem solved--except for slight spinal injury.

Actually drives the rear wheel through a jack shaft about half way back.
Alot of chain, but never any real problems except for the night
the buckle on my jacket got caught in the chain and , it being dark,
I couldn't tell what was trying to pull me into the rear wheel !
