Oh man, I sure hate to hear that Jerry Reed has passed on. :( I definitely liked his style! ;) Besides the ones in that link, what about "She got the Gold Mine, I got the shaft!"  8)

Thanks for posting that fuzzy, always liked Jerry Reed!

 :( :( :( :(

I can say that he was one of my all time favorites. I am very saddened by this, because of his songs I stumbled across a lot of truly great music that I would have never come across. That unique and great music the likes of CW McCall, and Chet Atkins among others and I certainly don't consider myself a country music fan. Truly a great guitar player.

I mean, for the longest time Amos moses was seriously my favorite song. That and "You still gonna die" :(

"Is she wearin' a weddin' dress?"

"She was."

"What's she wearin' now?!?"

The Survivors is my favorite movie. A few scenes were shot in VT near me as a kid. He was a bad armed robber claiming to be a hitman that killed Jimmy Hoffa." No one else took the credit so it it looked good on my portfolio" Walter Matheu and Robin Williams starred in the movie."45 mins west of tip toe lousiana".

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

NOOOOOOOO!  I' m going to mourn a the local choke and puke while throwin' groceries down my neck.  If you never knew his music other than smokey and the bandit, you owe it to yourself to pick up "The Essential Jerry Reed".  It is loaded with good music.

That's sad news indeed. I really liked his movies and music; much better than the pop country stuff cranked out nowadays... IMO.

God bless ya Jerry.
