is a 77cb750 a good model year??

hi, iam a newbie here and looking to get a cb750. i found one and it is a 77.  are there any particular good model years or anything.  i know with cars some years of the same make are better or worse so iam wondering about the 77 is it a good year or bad?  i know there are also a few diff types of 750s. what types were available in 77 and how can i distignuish what type of 750 it is.  thanks alot! ---zeph    if you want my email is nwguy933@hotmail.com

77 is fine. One thing is that the later years had more refinements to cure problem areas.
Somewhere on the site is an area that lists the improvements over the years.

Zef - they're all good. (500s are better of course...)

Buy the '77.  After a while you will feel the urge for a second, then a few years down the line you'll find yourself with one of each!

Seriously, the '77s were split into two:

The F had 4-1, sharper styling and disks all round
The K had 4-4, classic styling and a good old drum on the rear.

I road a 77 750k for 4 years and enjoyed every minute on it. I just sold it a week ago because I found a 81 CB750Custom for $500. The 750k is faster and quicker then the 1981. but then 81 does need a little work.
