Thought id post some pics of my project, not sure how its gunna turn out yet, first time on a full rebuild for me.

This is the bike as i got it, bit rough looking, but man does it go, motor is strong, no rattles or smoke, so that makes things easy.

I plan on doing a cafe style, iv got another more original F1 that i plan on doing a resto on later, thought id have some fun with this one first.

Yeah them wheels, i duno if i should be looking for a comstar for the back or a spoked for the front, i guess whichever i come across first.

No sorry that can't be a genuine SOHC Honda, unless they sound like a tin can full of stones viciously shaken they just aint real OK!

Looks like you have the entire front end off a '77 or later to get the ComStars to fit.  Going back to spokes would require you to change the whole front end back to original.

I guess it would be easyer to change the rear to a comstar then, what year and models should i be looking for

Iv been playing around with the seat for a couple of days. I didnt want to manufacture a whole new seat, or do the fibreglassing to make a new rear section. So iv cut the original seat base down and fited the original rear peice to the back of the seat base.

 I think its turning out ok so far

+1  on the seat lookin good!  Nice project.  If you decide to go with the comstar wheel for the rear, you'll need the caliper and rotor to go with it, maybe the swingarm(?).  You're at a point where it may be just as expensive either way (new front spoked wheel---stock), or try to find a matching rear comstar and related stuff.  Personally, I've found the spoked wheels really easy to find, including ebay and ordering new ones and can be rebuilt.  Comstars are going to be in an unknown condition wherever you find one.
