Multiplying Carburators

Once I got the CB650 running nicely (or so I thought), my work bench looked empty without a set of carburetors on it.  So I started into the Yamaha XS750.
Before cleaning

After cleaning and painting tops


Then, one day when I wanted to start up the CB650, it took me 2 days to get it going (put the battery on the Tender over night, twice).  So off came the carbs, again (I will post findings in another thread).


Then, after returning to the garage after helping with the laundry, there were more carburetors.  How many bikes can I work on at once? :o

Well, according to your own inventory count, 7.  Although I would like to thing that some of them don't need working on.

If you need any carb parts for that xs750, I may be able to provide them for ya kslrr.

Well thanks DammitDan, I might take you up on that.  One of the carb diaphragms has a small rip at the edge and all are brittle around the edges (I mended the rip with electrical tape and then used RTV gasket sealent, very thin bead, on all), and one of the throttle butterflies is bent, though I straitened it out fairly well.

Lemme check downstairs and see what I got...  I know I have the diaphragms, and I may be able to just send you a whole carb to replace the one with the bent butterfly.  Which cylinder does it feed?

I believe the carbs are off a '77 model, so they may or may not actually match up.

From the looks of his sig..they may be off of the exact same model since his is a 77.

It's nice to know there are other wrenches with the attention span of a fly.   :D  Welcome to the club, we meet on Wednesdays at 6pm.  ;)

I find that if I have more then 3 things going on, I have to drop one of them or nothing gets done.

Yes it did.  I made a mistake.  It is a '77 model (first year) built in Oct. '76.
