Hi,
I'm cleaning out the carbs on my bike and before I put them back together I wanted to run something by the forum....

The slow jet (pressed in) has a hole in the end of it and it appears like it should go all the way through.

I've tried (gently) to push a guitar string through it but it is either clogged or it was never meant to go all the way through.

The picture below shows how far the guitar string will go in each side.

Does anyone know whether the hole suppose to go all the way through?

thanks for your help - Paul

Yes-If I remember correctly, the end is slightly smaller in inside diameter.

It does go all the way through but there seems to be a step inside that can catch the tip of your wire.  Soak it in carb cleaner for a while and make sure your wire is nice a straight. Keep working at it.

Thanks for the responses.

I heated up the guitar string using a heat gun and it burned right through the crud.

I'm doing a final soak just to make sure all the junk is out.

thanks again - Paul
