Well, I saw Berta today. I was at the Special Needs Golf today and it didn't seem like she was gonna make it. She'd been feeling pretty weak and sick to her stomach earlier this week. I thought I was sitting in a good spot, where I could watch Joey doing his thing AND be able to watch the entry to the parking lot, just in case she made it. Well, I apparently wasn't watching close enough cause I happened to look around AND there was her big Red Avalanche sitting not too far away. SO< I gathered up my book, a nice card I had gotten her and went to find her. I looked where she usually sits, no Berta, I went to the end of the building where she sometimes sits, no Berta, I wen into the building and didn't find her and went out the side door, looked to thwe right, no Berta and as I was going to look to the left, Someone says, "I thought YOU were out there (on the course). I told her, "I didn't EVEN know YOU were HERE."
We sat and talked for a while, during which, I handed her the card I had gotten her. She said, what's this? (seeing a chance to be a smart aleck) I said, "Well, looks like a card to me." And imagine, she called ME a Smart Aleck And laughed! ;D We had a good visit. She said she's to have another treatment in a few days and a little bit after that, they will do an ultrasound to check the tumor. I'm Praying that the thing will have shrunk enough to give her more confidence.

Man, it sure was GOOD to see her! 8)  SHE SURE LOOKS GOOD To ME!  ;)
Just SEEING HER, gets MY Motor RUNNING! ;)

Sounds like you need a week out on that CBX going where ever the headlight takes you.

Rent a nurse for week to take care of your current duties and get out so you can settle that mind in a sea of peaceful hiway solitude.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

No Doubt, that WOULD be good, to get SOME time away. My Dad would probably get REALLY bent out of shape though. He's on this thing of going back home and pick up where he left off (thinking that he could do it with NO problem) and there is NO WAY he could accomplish that. Working on getting a day off about every week or sometimes every 2 weeks. Just a couple of days ago, one of the main women who checks in on him and helps him with some things around his apartment (assisted living), told me that my Dad was concerned about my getting with another woman. He told her that I had HIM, and didn't need another woman. ::) She went on to say that she got the impression from what my Dad was saying, he was afraid I was going to stop being there for him. I mean, he's already had ONE son try to just stick him in a Nursing Home Permanently! So, I can see his reasoning, in THAT respect. Thing IS, IF Berta can get past the cancer and we can get on with things, I'm looking at not only having someone in MY life, she would be good at making sure my Dad was taken care of, if something happened to me. As it stands right now, I don't have ANY backup for my Dad, If I'm gone (die). Yeah, I've got alot of "Worry Material".

For the last 2 weeks, I've gotten out on Sunday and taken the CBX out for about a 30-35mile run and THAT felt GOOD!

Guess I'd better go, got to get around and go pickup the young man I work with through Bost.

Tipper, I DO appreciate your suggestion and the others who have also suggested getting away for a few days and all. It's just that I have to make sure that Joey (who I work with), Karla (my Daughter) and my Dad will be taken care of, before I can do something like that.

                                           Take care Man, Bill ;)

Bet it did feel good but that is just a tease.  That needs to turn into about a 400 mile run at least.  That CBX can do that, i dunno 'bout the seat pad and your built-in pad though, lol.

I HEAR THAT! Not sure how my Posterior will handle that either. :D Also, the CBX has a pretty good handlebar vibration and it has weights in the handlebars too. After a bit of riding, I start to get a tingling in my hands. I've got another pair of handlebar grips that I am going to try, that have more cushion to them and see how THAT works out.  ;)

Saw Berta Briefly on Friday afternoon, after the accident. Didn't get the chance to tell her about the accident (wanted to tell her before somebody else might and let her know that I am okay), I just get so taken in by "her Smile" and those "Sparkling Blue Eyes". Sorry, I am just mesmerised  by those features and, actually,  she just looks GOOD all over! 8) Might say that I am infactuated . ::) ;D
