Hi All -
I did search for "not flashing", but the responses didn't seem to fit my problem, so I hope you'll indulge me....
I just bought a tidy CB550K4 which was equipped with a frame-mounted fairing complete with built-in turn signals. I've removed the fairing and reinstalled headlight brackets complete with turn signals. The signal lights have 2 wires, orange, orange and white, light blue, light blue and white. I did see in one of my search responses that the colour/white wires are for the running lights and the solids are for the flashers. I have connected them to their same color wires on the harness and behold! The running lights work.
However, when I actuate the handlebar switch, the relevant light goes out but does not come back on.
The wiring diagram shows 3 wires - one being green (ground?), but the units I bought (ostensibly from a '77) have, as stated, only the 2.
How are these lights grounded? Through the frame? Could this be my problem? Do the two green wires which were attached to the headlight shell mounts have anything to do with this?
Sure appreciate your help on all this!
Thanks,
Brian
