Deciphering the birds nest

so thE PO of this bike booger-hooked the hell out of the wiring. It is a nonsensical birds nest of mismatched connections...i will attempt to solve the problems but i think my turn signals are wrong. 77/78 have an actual ground wire that goes to the bulb correct? or are they the kind that grounds from the light through the metal to the bike???
and pictures/ answers are badly needed
also...does any one make or sell full wiring harnesses for this bike i have found a k1-k5 but no k7...

"This bike" being what exactly?
You can ground the turn signals if you want, you'll probably find they are supposed to be earthed anyway.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Generally, the 750 had separate ground wires for everything except the turn signals.

When Honda had the 'running lights' in the front turn signals, there were 2 wires, but they were both 'hot' wires: one for flash and one for 'running light'.

ive seen so many conflicting wiring diagrams for this bike i swear its a frankenstein. o so the front turn signals do not have a seperate ground wire? mine have a colored wire then that same color w a white stripe through it. what about the rear signals

the striped wires are for the rear turn signals.

i know the tail only is supposed to have one wire but how does it ground then?

i know it should ground to the frame however it wont i actually have to jerry rig a ground wire to it in order for it to work and they are the correct lights for the bike that means i either have different wiring or some thing is connercted wrong b/c when i actually ground the wires the lights work but wont with out the actual green wire

now that I think about it,  when my bike was stock, it had ground wired soldered to the nut that held the signals on.  You could just put a ring connector with a ground wire on before the nut.

i think ill jsut find a nice way to run an extra ground wire inside of the light lol thins bike is ridiculou how the PO could screw it up so bad i do not know

The steering head bearings and the grease they ride on do NOT make a good electrical connection between fork components and the bike frame.  The front signals need a connection between the the bulb socket bases and the green wire in the the headlights shell.  Follow the metal.  The stock headlight mounts are vibration isolated with rubber between them and the forks/trees.  Certainly the 550's had a wire connections between the headlight/turn signal mounts and the green wires in the headlight shell.  I couldn't explain why, of if, the 750's were any different with ground wires in the headlight shell.  The 750 F models I own, do have those green wire connections to the mounts.

well tonight i got into thought i had everything buttoned up then i noticed that when i turn the rear left on the front left goes out... and when i turn the rear right on the front left running light turns off as well ahhhhh..... has any one ever done a full rewire that is reading this i could use some major help my rudementary wire diagram reading capabilities are at thier max

yeah i know where that part is its just something is grounded wrong on this bike
