Hey Subsonic, Kettlesd and others,

It's almost like we have a SOHC group forming in the area and I know there's other "lurkers" on this site. :P

Spring is coming faster than we think.

My 500 is tucked away in it's nice cozy shed, I don't even peek at it all winter, out of sight, out of mind.

See you all hopefully in the spring.

Claude ;D

We'll have to organize an SOHC ride in the spring.

Hey holysmokes!

I just bought a 1981 CB900 Custom a few weeks ago.  I basically got a complete second bike which was part of the deal.

I'm sure some of the parts are interchangeable but you have to check to make sure.

What type of parts you looking for?

I actually do have a used cam chain and tensioner but i think I would replace these parts with new ones if you can get them.

I forgot to say, my 81 CB900 Custom is a DOHC but I"m on this site because I also own a 1972 CB500 Four.

"Walk away from the light"
Just trying to revive a dying thread for my own personal enjoyment.

Anyone in Nova Scotia from or been to Amherst Nova Scotia? Being a wise guy from Amherst MA. I wondered if it was like a parallel universe where I might find another me up there. Some day I'd like to go so I can take a picture of a sign saying welcome to Amherst Nova Scotia; then turn around and drive home.

Just kidding! I have heard it's very beautiful there and it's on my to-do list to see first hand.

FYI: The Scots were in North America before Columbus. So were the Vikings but that doesn't support my 'Scots are superior' theory and should be dismissed as myth.

First post,
'82 650 nighthawk, last of the SOHC4's.  Halifax here.  Originally from Cape Breton.  Only go back there to ride and visit family.

I am new to this site from Truro, N.S. Always interested in meeting new CB owners. I only knew one owner of a 1974 CB500 and he has since sold it.

I have a '77 CB750 K7 partly chopped but not radical. I am in the Truro area and although my baby is put to bed for the winter I spend as much time as possible riding. As soon as I can figure out how to get some pics on here I will.

Hi Guys,
I'm from N.S. I've been visiting the forum for awhile now. I own a 1975 CB400 Four, and only one parts bike!! We spend some time on the street and some time at AMP.
Hope to meet some of you!
Cheers,
Dave.

Reviving an old thread as I am hunting for SOHC riders here in the maritimes. I ride a black 73 750K with a few SS mods. Seems most of the good East Coast runs are in NS territory

Just checking in to see if any of you NS riders are heading up to the Wharf Rat's Rally. I am coming in from NB on the ferry.

Hi all, checking back in after a long stint away from here...

Halifax area, although my goal to get the CB550 on the road did not work out last year, as I was focused on this:  www.eastcoastducaticlub.com

However, really hoping to start my cafe project with the bike this winter and this forum will be a big part of that.  Hope to meet some SOHC riders in the future and best Holiday wishes for everyone!

Thinking waaaaaay down the road, I am planning a trip from Fredericton, NB up to Cape Breton for the Thunder in the Highlands run this summer. If anyone is interested, I wouldn't mind gathering some of the fellow SOHC'ers along the way. I will definitely be hitting the Ride for Sight as well as the Wharf Rat Rally again this year.

I had planned to ride to Digby for the Wharf Rat last year but I had to decide whether to put money into my bike to get it on the road again or to have a big fat Cape Breton wedding at the end of August.

The verdict:

On the plus side, The new wife has her course booked for May and planning to buy a honda rebel or 250 v-star shortly after.  So one way or another we will be at Thunder in the Highlands. (but if I can't get the cb650 on the road I may buy a sportster in the meantime)

Congratulations on the wedding, I think you made the right choice, the bike will wait, the right girl may not.

By the way, is that an actual picture from your wedding? Hope to see you in Cape Breton

Another Haligonian here. Not to often I run into other sohc4 enthusiasts, and Misterpunch just gave up on his project to buy a new bike, so I seem to be alone with my 650 here.
