Canaidian parts
« on: April 13, 2005, 01:21:05 PM »
I am looking for a Canadian source for used parts,  I am tired of getting stung twice when I win on E-bay (Shipping/Customs)
I am in Toronto but will ride anywhere in Southern Ontario.  what i'm looking for is a set of pipes Hm341 4 into 4 in riding condition also a horn both for a 76 750K.
thanks for any replies

I will second Ontario Cycle Salvage. Toronto Cycle has parts but some people don't like dealing with them. Try this link it lists almost everyone in Ontario.

Just keep calling around and you should find something.

David, you are correct.  I was in T.O. Cycle a month ago, and the guy behind the desk wouldn't give me prices on the bikes in the store.  They had an 80-82 750F that I wanted for parts, I know what his cost on it was and it was in running condition, but he wouldn't sell it. Wanted to sell everything on eBay.  Same with the Kawi Z1 in the store and they have an 83 (?) Kawi 750 Turbo.  Nice collector stuff, but he won't quote prices.  After about 1/2 hour I just gave up.

Ontario Cycle Salvage ion Kingston Rd (Scarborough) is good.  There was also Bent Bikes on Wharton Way (west of Hwy 427 off Dundas) and Zdeno's in Kitchener on Hwy 7.

I have been to TO cycle tons of times and they have always been good to me...of course I was never looking to buy a whole bike just a handful of parts.

I found Ontario Cycle salvage is very pricey but has some good stuff.

If you don't mind a trip to Oshawa there is Oshawa cycle on Taunton at Townline rd....prices are great but it's a small shop. The seat I bought there was far from perfect but for $35 I couldn't pass it up...could recover it for another 45 or so. That has to be my favourite shop because it is only 10 minutes frokm my place but like I say selection is very limited but they will look for the part and get back to you...

I avoid Ebay like the plague...
