So my KO is done and a '75 CB750K has found me. I am in discussion with the 2nd owner of the bike and would like your valued input. Here is the good:
20,000 miles, ran weekly and runs great, no oil leaks, NOS front fender, tires fair, original exhaust with crack at weld and no baffles, original chain, good general maintenance with oil changes, plugs, points, side covers fair with emblems, good chrome, paint good for age, has title.
The bad: original owner tipped bike over in the garage and bent the handlebars. The hit broke the tab off on the lower tree that is supposed to keep the bars from hitting the tank. Hence, golf ball size dent in tank from fork ear. My thing is to restore to showroom so I would be talking $1300 or so for exhaust already. He is asking $2,700 but will go lower.
