Viginia Blue Ridge Parkway Report

8 deer and 4 cows on the parkway this morning.

Other than that, very little cage traffic.

Cows?  On the Parkway?  Who let the cows out? (Who, who who, who).

Sorry, had to do it.

Is that the Blue Ridge Highway? I heard that was a good alternate route vs I-95 down to Florida.

Huh, I am so tired of I-95 I was looking for an alternative. Someone told me about a route that goes along the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Hey Bobby, it's long and twisty and can be slow on the weekends.
It is the only Federal road in our county. Ends in south west NC though.  ;)

Another alternative might be taking 81 south for a while, down through Pa,Virginia, Tn on down to Georgia.
A little better than 95, I grew up in se NC not far east of 95 and I agree, got to be something better.

Shows you how good my reading is-  I thought you were suggesting I95 AS the alternative!  :o  Sorry.

I will try to resolve that route on my GPS. I am getting so tired of I-95. Thanks Rock.

I think what he means is it's the only road designated at a federal (national) park.  Seems like I read it's also the most visited national park.

It really needs to be closed off and used as a raceway -in the way the Isle of Man is- once a year.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

Oh, we have no interstate roads in our county other than the Parkway, and we only have to share it
with one other State.  ;D

Bobby, if you head down 81 let me know. We'll meet up for a meal.

Could be a plan, I will have the whole family with me since we go visit my Mother in Law down in Fla. I just don;t want to go through Atlanta traffic.
